Sales Leadership

Setting the course of the nascent Private Residence Club (PRC), principals of Star Resorts (Star) represent over $1 billion in shared ownership and fractional interest sales sold and closed. Combined marketing and sales activities of Star’s principals and allied partners have generated well in excess of $2 billion in resort real estate sales.

Private Residence Club Projects with Active Star Role

Vallarta Gardens, (www.vallartagardens.com), Puerto Vallarta. Star Resort Group directs the sales and marketing. Located in La Cruz, Jalisco, Mexico, just 20 minutes north of the authentic city of Puerto Vallarta, the exclusive beach enclave is snuggled in a charming fishing village on the world famous Banderas Bay. The lush, garden-lined gated community of 15 PRC Residences and 47 private homes will include multiple pools, fitness center, beach activities and staff, concierge, 24-hour security, and ground transportation. The quiet retreat features private owners-only dining first-class private spa, tennis and small boat moorage. La Cruz is the site of a soon-to-be-completed marina, hotel, retail and restaurant development.

Freestone Inn, (www.livefreestone.com), Mazama, Washington. Hidden on the eastern edge of the North Cascades, northeast of Seattle, 15 fully furnished, studio, one, two, and three-bedroom Cabins, each providing completely renovated and comfortable living space at all times of the year. Fractional and whole ownership opportunities are available.

Nautical Inn Resort Hotel, (www.nauticalinn.com), Lake Havasu City, Arizona. Situated on 26 acres of shoreline The Nautical Inn provides immediate access to the Colorado River and a wealth of recreational activities including boating, world-class fishing, golf, hiking, off-roading, bird watching and virtually any water-related activity imaginable. Suites and rooms range from 415 – 1050 square feet with four luxury suites. Star is the developer, as well as sales and marketing agent for the project.

Mr. Superior Residence Club, (www.mtsuperiorclub.com), Snowbird, Utah. Star Resorts markets and sells the first "for-sale" construction in Snowbird in 25 years. 16 very luxurious three and four bedroom condos, ski out and ski in; $85 million in sales projected. Selling 1/8ths.

Meriwether Ranch. (www.meriwetherranch.com), Star Resorts markets and sells the first Private Residence Club designed for the avid outdoorsman and his family, Meriwether Ranch offers fully-deeded partial interests in luxurious, fully-furnished homes. Meriwether Ranch is located on the Three Channel section of the legendary Big Hole River, a mile north of Melrose, Montana, halfway between Butte and Dillon. Butte, Bozeman, and Missoula are easily accessible via commercial airlines from virtually anywhere in the country, and Meriwether is a comfortable freeway drive from all three cities. 24 luxury fractional homes on the Big Hole River. Total sales $52 million. Selling 1/8th and 1/10ths.

Private Residence Club Projects with Completed Star Role

Front Four at Stowe Mountain Lodge, Stowe VT is a condo-hotel and private residence club project being developed by AIG and Lowe Enterprises/Destination Development. Sales of the 100 condo hotel units and the 34 fractional ownership residences are expected to generate approximately $150 million in revenues. Opening is scheduled for January 2007. The Cottages at National Golf Club, Village of Pinehurst, NC is a private residence club consisting of 22 two and four-bedroom homes located on the only Jack Nicklaus signature course in The Sandhills. Phase I is now complete and being enjoyed by new members. Marketing of this club will result in approximately $30 million in fractional ownership sales. Northstar Club, Truckee, California. Developed and marketed 18 residences resulting in approximately $23.5 million of fractional ownership sales. The company also currently manages the Club's homeowners' association. Click here for more information on Star’s role and project results.

Deer Valley Club, Park City, UT. Sales of all 195 member interests were completed after approximately two years of pre-sales activity and two years after the completion and opening of the Club. This successful program opened the doors to other similar Clubs such as Austria Haus, Northstar Club and Franz Klammer Lodge. Click here for more information on Star’s role and project results.

Snowmass Club – Phase I, Aspen/ Snowmass CO. Marketed 30 residences resulting in approximately $36.7 million of fractional ownership sales for Aspen Skiing Company. Click here for more information on Star’s role and project results.

Christie Club – Phase I, Steamboat Springs, CO. Developed and marketed 20 condominiums resulting in approximately $21.5 million of fractional ownership sales. Click here for more information on Star’s role and project results.

Club Palmilla, San Jose del Cabo, Mexico. Pre-sold approximately $11 million of fractional sales before the partners Goldman Sachs sold the hotel with the land. Click here for more information on Star’s role and project results.

Rancho Mañana, Cave Creek, AZ. Star was engaged for sales and marketing activity in 2001 and a new sales team and Director of Sales were placed on site to respond to an intensive marketing campaign that was undertaken by our marketing team. Vacation Ownership Projects with Completed Star Role

The following vacation ownership projects were developed and/or marketed by Carl Berry and John Kazanjian, principals of Star Resorts. Certain projects were developed and marketed through Mr. Berry’s predecessor company, California Resorts, Inc. Others were marketed by Berry and Kazanjian under independent marketing agreements. In all, these projects represent in excess of $700 million in completed sales activity. A sampling of those projects include:

Brockway Springs, Lake Tahoe, CA. The World’s First Fee Timeshare. Brockway Springs, an historic spa from the turn of the 19th century at Lake Tahoe, was developed into a Lake front resort with condominiums to sell. We bought the project in 1972, took five units, and sold the first fee timeshare project in the World. Click here for more information.

The Manhattan Club, New York, NY. Continuum Companies & California Resorts, Inc. 320-Unit Urban Mixed-Use Timeshare Hotel conversion. $100 Million construction and $300 Million sales. Click here for more information.
